Nothing is imminent, one of the sources said.

Bennett, 32, signed a three-year extension in December 2016. The contract has three years remaining, with base salaries of $1.65 million, $6 million and $7.5 million. Bobby Clarke Jersey ESPN’s Brady Henderson reported last week that the Seahawks were open to trading Bennett.

The Falcons entered the offseason intent on bolstering their offensive and defensive lines. They have two exceptional young edge-rushers in 2016 sack champ Vic Beasley Jr. and Takk McKinley, plus a budding superstar in nose tackle Grady Jarrett. Bennett could help solidify an athletic, fast defense that ranked in the top 10 in both yards allowed and scoring last season.

Bennett is known to be outspoken and took a stance against social injustice by sitting during the national anthem. Those who have played with him and coached him say he is a great teammate.

Bennett is represented by Doug Hendrickson, the agent who represents Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff.

Offensively, the team has also fallen but just a single spot from fifth to sixth. Overall, Cleveland was the eighth-best team in the league prior to the trade deadline based on NBA 2K18 evaluations, and even with all the moving pieces involved, the Cavs remain eighth behind three teams in the East.

James obviously lifts all those rankings single-handedly. (A team with James and the rest of the roster made up of the worst free agents found in the video game finds itself ranked 25th. LeBron is essentially considered better on his own than the entirety of the Bulls, Hawks, Kings, Nets and Suns. Cavs fans are hoping James can carry this roster to another NBA Finals appearance.

Less than two months remain before the 2018 draft (April 26-28), when teams will jockey for the prospects who will make up the majority of the league’s rosters in the coming years. Next week’s free-agency period, of course, is a supplementary exercise that includes a handful of intriguing quarterbacks but otherwise represents a pool of players whose current teams have either cast aside or are wavering about their value.
